Yummy Duck Chinese Restaurant in Victoria

"Yummy Duck is a level above traditional Asian food establishments. Generally the quality and variety of food offered is very good although my Peking Duck entree was dry (no complaints from the other 8 at the table who selected this entree) You may select live seafood, for which a premium is paid. Unusually you can BYO or order from their adequate wine list. Service is great and immersive, part of the enjoyable experience here. Prices are slightly above others in the area but it shows in the served meals. Serves are large, delivered promptly and in order. Parking is off street but their area struggles when the restaurant is at capacity. Beware of the very restrictive parking times in the adjacent areas. I am looking forward to a return where I hope to revisit the Peking duck."

Recommend highly to bring cash as they will give you a $10 discount which you can use straight away on their salt and pepper option for your duck instead of soup. Parking can be a little hard at times so you should go earliet to avoid a stressful parking search. Spacious and busy you know their duck is good because every table orders one and you do not have to pre-order either."

"Pleasant and quiet atmosphere with authentic Chinese dishes. We enjoyed the signature duck dish and like the way each diner is served with their own dish of sauce and filling apart from the meat. Conversations among ourselves could be heard and enjoyed unlike many noisy restaurants."

"The Peking duck was the type come with skin and meat which I like. The pastry were serving hot and soft by keeping them in a bamboo steamer. The stirfried prawn with egg yolk was delicious too, the size of the prawn as well as the side of whole dish were big."

"Restaurant was spacious and has a big car park. Peking duck was delicious served with soft crepes. Ask for the leftover duck bones /meat to be served in salt and pepper. Very nice. Overall dishes were tasty and average portions. Service from the waiters were very attentive. Great work!!"
